Omnicom confirms post-IPG leadership, DDB, FCB & MullenLowe sunsetting and job cuts
"For a year, the deal progressed behind closed doors, with only scant details released around the edges. Upon conclusion last week, one analyst - Gartner's Ewan McIntyre - told The Drum that, if the new Omnicom is to keep its top-spot as the presumptive biggest marcomms group in the world, it will need to start "communicating a lot more openly about [its] vision"."
"Florian Adamski stays on as CEO of Omnicom Media Chris Foster stays on as CEO of Omnicom Public Relations Michael Larson moves from CEO to chairman of Omnicom Health Dana Maiman becomes sole CEO of Omnicom Health Sergio Lopez stays on as CEO of Omnicom Production Mark O'Brien stays on as CEO of Omnicom Branding (formerly Omnicom Brand Consulting Group)"
Omnicom is consolidating its operations and retiring storied agency brands including FCB and DDB as part of post-deal structure changes, with further job losses expected. Senior leadership remains largely Omnicom-dominated: John Wren stays as chair and CEO, Philippe Krakowsky joins as co-president and COO, and IPG executives Patrick Moore and E. Lee Wyatt Jr join the board. Divisional names are tweaked and the word 'group' is dropped from most divisions. Several senior executives retain or shift roles across media, public relations, health, production and branding, and a Flywheel Commerce Network will be established under existing leadership.
