Nearly half of US teens are online 'constantly,' Pew report finds
Briefly

According to a report from the Pew Research Center, nearly half of American teenagers say they are online "constantly" despite ongoing concerns about social media's impact on their mental health.
YouTube remains the most popular platform among teenagers, with 90% of teens reporting they watch videos on the site, although this reflects a slight decrease from 95% in 2022.
The study revealed a decline in usage for platforms like TikTok and Snapchat—63% and 55% respectively—potentially due to teens spending more time socializing in person.
Interestingly, usage of X (formerly Twitter) saw the largest decline among teens, from 23% to just 17% since the acquisition by Elon Musk, indicating a shift in social media preferences.
