According to the Pew Research Center, nearly half of American teenagers say they are online "constantly," despite ongoing concerns about social media’s impact on their mental health.
YouTube remained the top platform for teens, with 90% reporting they watch videos on the site, though this marks a slight decline from 95% in 2022.
The survey revealed that while smaller declines occurred in TikTok and Snapchat usage, a notable drop was seen in X's popularity among teenagers, falling from 23% to 17%.
Interestingly, girls were more inclined to use TikTok almost constantly, while boys showed a preference for YouTube. This trend was consistent across other platforms like Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook.
