Nearly half of US teens are online 'constantly,' Pew report finds
Briefly

Nearly half of American teenagers indicate they are online 'constantly,' despite ongoing concerns regarding the negative mental health impacts associated with social media and smartphones.
According to the report, YouTube remains the most popular platform among teenagers, with 90% stating they watch videos on the site—although this figure saw a slight drop from 95% in 2022.
Notably, the platform X, which experienced a considerable decline post-Elon Musk's acquisition, now sees only 17% of teenagers using it, down from 23% in the previous year.
In contrast, WhatsApp experienced growth in its teenage user base, increasing usage from 17% in 2022 to 23%, demonstrating shifts in platform popularity among youth.
