X claims Twitch has not advertised on its platform since November 2022 and cites GARM documents that suggest an endorsement from Twitch on brand safety standards.
Despite the disbandment of GARM, the World Federation of Advertisers intends to legally fight the allegations posed by X in court regarding the boycott.
X has seen a nearly 40 percent revenue decline in the first half of 2023, under Musk's leadership, attributed to advertiser pullback following controversial statements.
