Creative Strategy and Cultural Agency Valerie Launches
Briefly

"She is a barrier breaker who refused to conform to the expectations of her time," Deveraux Lawson, Valerie co-founder and head of culture told ADWEEK. "She leaned on culture, took big swings, and dared the industry to underestimate her. Those characteristics are the essence of who we are as founders and the essence of what this agency will represent as we grow."
"Naming the agency after her is an expression of gratitude and acknowledgment of the legacy of Black women's contributions to this industry," said Coker, co-founder and head of creative.
Valerie served as the strategic and creative agency lead for the inaugural 2024 AfroGames, providing event branding, asset design, communications strategy, media placement, influencer marketing, and social media campaign services for the sporting and cultural experience founded by Graves and held in South Africa.
The agency has a mission to help brands think out of the box instead of simply checking one. The independent shop specializes in creative, brand, social strategy, and cultural consulting.
