Where Are America's Most Expensive Towns?
Briefly

In a recent LendingTree study analyzing the 2022 American Community Survey, it was revealed that some smaller towns have livability costs comparable to expensive cities like San Francisco.
The analysis, which ranked 50 micropolitan areas by median home value, showed that despite common assumptions, affordability in smaller towns varies significantly, often leading to greater unaffordability.
Vineyard Haven, with a median home value of $998,100, is the most expensive micropolitan area and is considerably less affordable compared to places like San Francisco.
Despite Jackson, Wyo., and Breckenridge, Colo. being popular vacation areas, their home value-to-income ratios indicate they may be just as unaffordable as larger metropolitan counterparts.
