Man shoots woman, himself after confrontation in another man's home, officials say

A man shot a woman in Lancaster, drove away in her vehicle, attempted suicide at a family member's home in Palmdale, and was listed in critical condition in the hospital.

The pair, believed to be an estranged couple, got into an argument at East Avenue H and Challenger Way in Lancaster, leading to the fatal shooting of the woman.
