Daniel Aravena Oliva, a Chilean man, was arrested after developing an inappropriate online relationship with a 13-year-old girl via Roblox, leading him to travel to the U.S. to meet her.
According to Lt. Matt Fenner, Oliva spent several months manipulating and grooming the young victim, ultimately leading to his arrest on serious charges related to child exploitation.
Oliva’s online interactions with the girl became increasingly concerning, as he moved from Roblox to more private communication platforms, illustrating a calculated approach to exploit her.
The Glendora police highlighted the collaboration with Homeland Security Investigations, emphasizing the importance of vigilance in preventing such child exploitation cases.
