Tube safety workers to strike again in dispute over pay
Briefly

The Unite union has announced a strike by Transport for London (TfL) enforcement officers from March 20 to 22, marking the second strike this year due to pay disputes. These officers, responsible for safety at transport stations, report being underpaid compared to their counterparts on the London Underground while facing high levels of violence and abuse. The pay offer implemented by TfL was widely rejected by workers, and while discussions continue, the union demands recognition of the risks these workers take to ensure public safety.
TfL has caused this dispute by trying to pay these workers, who often put themselves in harm's way to protect the public, on the cheap.
We are disappointed that Unite the Union has announced this strike action for some members of our compliance, policing, operations and security Directorate.
