Noah Donohoe inquest: Police search advisor says he was 'grasping at straws' when he deployed search and rescue

Noah Donohoe, a 14-year-old St Malachy's College student, went missing on June 21, 2020, while cycling to meet friends. His body was discovered in north Belfast on June 27, 2020, six days after his disappearance. During the inquest into his death, a police search officer testified that he was "grasping at straws" when he made the decision to call in the search and rescue team. This team's involvement proved crucial, as they were ultimately responsible for finding the teenager's body.
