Janayo Lucima was shot and killed at his doorstep in April 2024. The shooting was premeditated, confirmed by CCTV footage of the suspects gathering prior to the attack. Khuder Al-Kurdi feigned a drug deal to lure Lucima outside, while Mohammed Mansaray displayed a firearm. The group quickly fled the scene, discarding weapons, and several defendants left the country soon after. Most of the suspects were arrested soon thereafter and all six have been convicted of murder, awaiting sentencing at the Old Bailey later this year.
