A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of Lathaniel Burrell, a 16-year-old who was fatally shot in South London on March 4. The accused will appear in Bromley Youth Court, while Omar Prempeh, aged 32, has already been charged and will attend the Old Bailey. The police are appealing for witnesses and urge anyone with relevant footage or information regarding the incident to contact them. Lathaniel's family, described as supportive and close-knit, have faced this tragedy while the investigation continues.
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee said: Though we have made progress with this investigation, we continue to appeal for anyone with information about Lathaniel's murder to please come forward and speak to us.
Lathaniel's family continue to be supported by specialist officers, the Metropolitan Police said. Relatives previously described him as a Manchester United fan who enjoyed playing Playstation 5.
