'World-first' cafe opened by couple in east London
Briefly

Yummzy, a new cafe in Cabot Square, offers a range of food that is keto, low carb, sugar-free, gluten-free, and vegan. Founded by Jolie Pascu, who has type one diabetes, the cafe emerged from her need for suitable sweet treats. After facing challenges with their first location during the pandemic, Jolie and her husband sought to re-establish Yummzy as a unique health-focused eatery in Canary Wharf. The cafe emphasizes strict contamination protocols to ensure safety for customers with dietary restrictions and promotes the importance of clean ingredients in their offerings.
"Everything we serve is keto, low carb, sugar free, gluten free and vegan," said Jolie, who birthed the idea of Yummzy alongside her husband Adrian in 2017.
"We have put everything into it and the world needs it. When we found a place in Canary Wharf, we were very happy we were even happier that Canary Wharf said they wanted an independent business rather than another franchise or chain."
"A lot of products say keto on them but they actually use ingredients which aren't keto and for a diabetic person, these ingredients can be just as bad as sugar."
