On Monday, a man was spotted scaling Tower Bridge, resulting in its closure. Emergency services, including the London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service, were dispatched to the incident at around 10:36 am. The man was safely assisted down by firefighters and subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment. City of London Police confirmed on social media that the individual had safely come down from the railing, highlighting the swift response by emergency services to the unusual situation.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, "We were called at 10.36am today (10 March) to reports of an incident on Tower Bridge. We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and paramedics from our hazardous area response team (HART). We treated a man at the scene and took him to hospital."
City of London Police wrote on X, the man had "safely come down from the railing on Tower Bridge."
