Gyro City, a fast-casual Greek restaurant, is opening a new location in Astoria, taking over the former La Tiendita Taqueria space. The restaurant will offer a menu featuring traditional Greek dishes such as gyro pitas, souvlaki, and falafel, along with new items like mini pitas and customizable salad bars. Founded by friends George Karavias, Angelos Georgiadis, and Mario Costantini, Gyro City aims to provide high-quality Greek cuisine with a focus on clean ingredients. The grand opening is set for April 25, with free gyros for the first 100 guests.
