Camden High Street Is Going to Be Pedestrianised This Year
Briefly

Camden Council plans to initiate an 18-month trial to pedestrianise a segment of Camden High Street, receiving financial support from TfL. Following a consultation where 70% favored the proposal, the trial aims to alleviate the congestion experienced by up to 40,000 pedestrians during peak times. The changes will reroute buses, introduce contra-flow cycle lanes, and offer specific parking options for blue badge holders. Councillor Adam Harrison noted that the trial responds to public demand for safer, more enjoyable use of this iconic area, which is a key destination in London.
