Their review indicated that the station is 'struggling to cope' amidst numerous train delays and the chaos of last-minute announcements, which compel passengers to rush to platforms, exacerbating the already dangerous conditions.
Network Rail admitted that Euston requires significant investment and modernisation to meet current demands. A spokesperson acknowledged that 'Euston was designed for a different era' and indicated that safety remains a top priority. However, they also recognized that during periods of disruption, the station's capacity is insufficient, leading to an uncomfortable experience for passengers navigating the crowded environment.
