Vasile Filip and Geani Bogonos, recently sentenced to 20 months in prison, carried out a burglary in Redbridge, stealing £25,000 worth of gold. Their arrest occurred shortly after the break-in when police blocked escape routes, leading to a foot chase. Both men were linked to additional break-ins in the area and pleaded guilty. The officer overseeing the investigation reflected on the severe psychological impact of burglary on victims and praised the swift police response that resulted in their capture just 150 metres from the scene.
