On December 6 last year, Kevin Rees, 62, allegedly detonated an improvised explosive device against a ULEZ camera in Sidcup, causing significant damage to nearby homes and vehicles.
After suffering stroke-like symptoms, Rees missed his initial court appearance and was absent again for the Old Bailey hearing, which has been postponed until January 2026.
The prosecution states Rees's actions directly created a dangerous situation, with debris from the explosion narrowly missing causing serious injuries to nearby residents.
Rees has been charged under the Explosive Substances Act 1883 and for possession of weapons found by police, indicating significant concerns around public safety.
