Sanchini Thompson was found with stab wounds in Rushey Green, Catford, at about 03:00 BST and was taken to hospital, where he later died. A post-mortem examination found death resulted from a stab wound to the chest. The victim was the father of a four-year-old daughter and was described by relatives as devoted, generous, and compassionate. Family emphasised his role as a source of joy and kindness to friends, neighbours, and strangers. Police reported no arrests and expressed sympathy for his loved ones while thanking residents for their patience during initial inquiries.
