Emergency services responded swiftly to a serious incident on the A406 North Circular where a car was engulfed in flames following a multi-vehicle collision.
Police were called to the scene at 3pm. A car was reported on fire after three vehicles collided, causing traffic disruptions extending to the M11.
Traffic is backed up heavily in Walthamstow with delays spilling over to the M11, creating further gridlock for motorists in the area.
The London Ambulance Service arrived within three minutes, deploying multiple resources including an air ambulance and crews to assist in addressing the ongoing emergency.
