Firefighters battled a blaze at a flat on Empire Way, Erith, early this morning. Part of the ground-floor flat in a semi-detached house was damaged by the fire, but two men and a woman managed to escape unscathed before the arrival of fire crews.
The teams from Erith and Bexley fire stations are still investigating the incident's cause.
