Briefly

"This can be confusing for customers less familiar with the network and could be a barrier for some wanting to use the London Overground."
To pay homage to local landmarks and leaders, a group of customers, local historians, and transport specialists helped the TfL brainstorm and select names for the new lines. The yellow Lioness line, which runs near Wembley Stadium, honors England's women's soccer team; the blue Mildmay line is a testament to a small hospital that was instrumental in supporting its community during the HIV/AIDS crisis; and the green Suffragette line celebrates working-class women in the East End who fought for equal voting rights.
