A man was rescued from a burning tenth-floor flat in Sydenham as over 70 firefighters responded to contain a significant blaze at Dacres Road.
The London Fire Brigade confirmed that the fire was reported around 3.40 pm and brought under control by 5.16 pm, though crews continue to monitor hotspots.
