Around 80 firefighters and 12 fire engines responded to a large blaze at a disused block of flats in Southwark, rescuing two individuals.
The fire, which broke out early Tuesday morning, led to significant disruption, including the partial closure of Borough High Street while emergency services were active.
Three individuals were treated on-site for smoke inhalation as firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control shortly after 5am.
Authorities confirmed that while the property had been abandoned, they're investigating the cause of the fire and its implications for safety in the area.
