A fire broke out in a shop in East Ham, damaging wheelie bins and a front door, but all occupants were able to escape safely before the firefighters arrived.
According to the London Fire Brigade, three fire engines and approximately fifteen firefighters responded to the scene at around 2:31 am to control the fire.
The incident highlights the importance of fire safety measures in buildings, particularly those with residential flats above commercial establishments, as six people managed to escape unharmed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the Metropolitan Police have been contacted regarding the incident for further examination.
