A 79-year-old man in east London died after being found seriously injured. A 20-year-old was charged with attempted murder and appeared in court, pending trial at the Old Bailey.
The Met police stated they would work with the CPS to amend the charge following the victim's death. Next of kin have been identified and are receiving support.
