Transport for London (TfL) is renaming the Overground lines and is engaging the community through public weaving sessions to create a tapestry symbolizing unity and creativity.
Each Overground line will receive a new name and color, making navigation easier while honoring local history in areas known for tapestry and design.
London's deputy mayor for communities, Dr. Debbie Weekes-Bernard, emphasized the community weaving sessions as an opportunity to create a meaningful artwork for the new Weaver line.
The completed tapestry will represent collaboration, unity, and the artistic spirit of Londoners, as part of one of the significant changes in the transport network.
