Pub burglary suspect arrested moments before boarding plane at Heathrow Airport

The landlord of the Wharton Road pub called the police at 11.30am on Sunday (September 8) to report that an unknown offender had forced entry into the premises at around 1.45am that day and stolen a large quantity of cash.
Cheshire Police have been investigating reports of a burglary at the Top House in Winsford, leading to the identification of a 37-year-old suspect who was heading to board a flight at Heathrow.
Following the arrest, Detective Constable Lara Hill stated, 'We treat all reports of burglary extremely seriously and as this case demonstrates we will travel the length and breadth of the country to ensure that those responsible for committing such offences are held responsible for their actions.'
