The Metropolitan Police are investigating an assault with a machete that occurred in Plaistow on December 16, where a man suffered serious hand injuries.
Officers responded to reports of the assault on King Street around 2.02pm, and the victim was taken to the hospital but later released.
A man is sought for questioning regarding the incident, having reportedly attacked the victim after exiting a grey Fiat Abarth.
Authorities have shared an image of the suspect and are urging anyone with information to contact the police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
