Person dies after being hit by train at Bank Underground station

A person has died after being hit by a train at Bank Underground station in central London. Paramedics rushed to the Tube station at 12.07pm on Sunday after reports that a person had been hit.
We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance. Sadly, a person died at the scene.
Officers were called to Bank underground station at 12.09pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
On seeing police, the trespasser entered the building around 1am on Sunday. He was followed and officers attempted to detain him inside the station, but he made off onto the tracks and was subsequently fatally injured.
