A car caught fire in Rainham's Cowper Road, prompting the London Fire Brigade to respond quickly, extinguishing the blaze near homes within 20 minutes.
Eight emergency calls were made to the brigade concerning the car fire, which caused black smoke to billow around the engulfed vehicle in Rainham.
