A driver in Croydon was arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase on Purley Way, ultimately crashing the vehicle on Brighton Road.
The police, alerted to a vehicle speeding, pursued the man through Purley Way until he crashed; fortunately, no public members were reported injured.
Following the crash, police deployed canine units, which successfully located the suspect hiding under a vehicle nearby and arrested him.
The arrested driver is suspected not only of driving offences but is also wanted for alleged sexual offences, indicating a complex case.
