Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to as part of their investigation.
The man had been stabbed in a fight with another man, who was also armed with a machete; he was later found with a stab injury in Hertford Road.
The man's condition was assessed as not life-threatening after being taken to the hospital.
Anyone with information that could assist the police should call 101 quoting reference CAD 3717/2 Mar.
