Habibur Masum was charged with the murder of 27-year-old Kulsuma Akter after being arrested following a four-day manhunt. The incident occurred on Saturday at a street in Bradford, resulting in Kulsuma's death.
Aside from the murder charge, Masum faces allegations of possession of a bladed article. Four other men in their 20s were arrested for assisting an offender and drug offenses.
West Yorkshire Police referred themselves to the Independent Office of Police Conduct due to prior contact with Ms Akter. A man arrested in Cheshire on similar grounds remains in custody.
