Footage showed the suspect sitting on the floor and handcuffed outside Clapham North station in south London at around 6.30pm on Easter Sunday.
A witness described the scene where police responded to the suspect with a machete, saying 'They added a woman at the scene questioned why the police were arresting the man, to which they responded because he has a knife.'
The witness, reflecting on the incident, mentioned that the people around him acted as if such occurrences were normal in London.
A Met police spokesman confirmed the arrest on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon with the recovery of a knife, emphasizing that no injuries were reported.
