London weather: Capital set to bask in 23C heat as temperatures surge following chilly week

Met Office meteorologist Marco Petagna stated that after a chilly start to autumn with temperatures dropping to -2.7°C, the UK is predicted warmer weather, reaching up to 23°C in London next week.
Petagna adds that predominantly fine weather will encompass much of England and Wales, with sunny spells expected after some patchy morning drizzles on Monday.
Additionally, high pressure will dominate the following days, ensuring predominantly dry and settled weather across the UK, with some drizzle in the north/northwest.
Temperature forecasts indicate a rise to 19-20°C over the weekend in the South East, climbing to 23°C by midweek, with much of the country enjoying sunshine.
