The KAWS:HOLIDAY art installation reaches Thailand, marking its 13th stop globally. Created by artist Brian Donnelly (KAWS) and AllRightsReserved, it will run from May 13 to 25 without revealing its location yet. Known for adapting to various cultural settings, this exhibit promises to merge KAWS's modern artistic style with Thailand's rich heritage. Featuring the signature Companion character, the display reflects themes of contemplation, continuing KAWS's mission to encourage audience engagement with art in diverse environments worldwide.
Since its inception in 2018, KAWS:HOLIDAY has traveled to major cities such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Melbourne, as well as more remote locations like China's Changbai Mountain.
The upcoming display is expected to seamlessly integrate KAWS's signature contemporary aesthetic with Thailand's cultural landmarks, offering a fresh perspective on how public art can interact with historical and modern settings.
