Investigation launched as 25 firefighters tackle blaze in Croydon

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to St George's Walk Shopping Centre on Park Street at 5pm on Thursday, May 9. Camping equipment, wooden panels, and overhanging fascia of the building were destroyed by the fire.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson stated that a tent and camping equipment at the front of the building, as well as wooden hoarding panels and the overhanging fascia, were affected. There were no injuries reported, and the fire was under control by 5.21 pm.
