A person managed to escape from the Copper Mill Off Licence in Walthamstow before the London Fire Brigade arrived, with no injuries reported.
The fire, which broke out just before 1.15pm, was tackled by six fire engines and 40 firefighters, and was under control by 2.09pm.
Although a small part of the roof void was destroyed during the incident, the cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation.
