Huge smoke plumes seen across Erith after fire which damaged vehicles

A bonfire warning was issued after unattended burning caused a fire in Erith. Two ISO containers, two vehicles, and around four tonnes of rubbish were damaged. London Fire Brigade urges caution with bonfires, advising against leaving them unattended and using flammable liquids or burning dangerous items.
Four fire engines and 25 firefighters worked to put out the fire. The LFB spokesperson highlighted safety tips, emphasizing the need to build bonfires away from structures, avoid flammable liquids, supervise the fire until it burns out, and ensure no wildlife or pets are nearby.
