Fire crews from Lee Green, Lewisham, and Eltham were called to a three-story building in Downham where a cooling unit was smouldering. The firefighters worked to secure the system in the basement and isolate its power supply.
The incident, reported at 6:13 pm, involved 15 firefighters and three fire engines. The London Fire Brigade responded swiftly to reports of smoke coming from the mixed-use building.
