Zepheniah Dufeal, 18, from Church Street, Edmonton, has been remanded into custody and will appear at Highbury Magistrates' Court following the incident, which occurred on Tuesday morning.
The incident involved a woman, 20, who was also arrested at the scene and has been released on bail pending further investigations. The police are actively looking into the assault that left the elderly man in critical condition.
