Plans to transform the Grade II-listed gasholders in Bromley-by-Bow into residential buildings and public spaces have been officially approved, highlighting the area's industrial legacy. This project will bring 2,150 new homes across 13 buildings, with some being constructed within the existing gasholder frames. A £73 million investment will ensure that 70% of the site becomes open space, including a new 4.2-acre park. Developer St William has collaborated with Newham council and Historic England to honor the site's heritage while addressing housing shortages.
