The London Fire Brigade received reports of a fire in a flat on Mizzen Street around 12.40am, sending eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters to the scene. They managed to bring the fire under control within about an hour. A flat on the sixth floor was mostly destroyed, and the cause remains under investigation.
Over 50 residents were safely led out of the building by the firefighters, highlighting the swift evacuation response. Sadly, two individuals were taken to hospital by ambulance.
