Arrest made after 'fighting' leaves man with head injury
Briefly

An arrest has been made after alleged fighting near a working men's club left a man with head injuries and needing hospital treatment. A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) after another man, 41, was found with a head injury.
The arrested man was later sectioned under the Mental Health Act having also been taken to the hospital, police said. The London Ambulance Service confirmed yesterday (April 8) that a man had been taken to the hospital.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police believe the two men knew each other. We approached Rainham Working Men's Club, near where the assault was said to have taken place, but a staff member said she was not aware of the incident.
