A member of the public discovered a woman's body hidden in the attic of a bungalow in Nottingham, prompting a manhunt that led to an arrest.
Nottinghamshire Police reported that a post-mortem examination confirmed the woman died from natural causes, and a man was arrested on suspicion of preventing a burial.
Detective Inspector Ian Holmes stated, 'This is a tragic discovery and we are continuing our work to understand the circumstances' as officers conduct inquiries.
The 65-year-old suspect was released on conditional bail as police continue their investigation and prepare a file for the coroner.
