A man in his 20s has been arrested after shots were fired in Bermondsey. The incident happened in Jamaica Road just before 8pm on May 6. Officers attended and found evidence to suggest that a gun had been fired.
Initial police enquiries found that the suspects behind the shooting fled the scene on motorcycles. A man was arrested on suspicion of firearm offences and taken to a south London police station where he remains.
No injuries were reported following the incident. A crime scene remains in place. Enquiries continue. Anyone who witnessed this incident or has footage should contact the police or crimestoppers.
