Appeal for taxi driver after woman, 75, found dead
Briefly

Police are investigating the death of 75-year-old Pepita Sakirecili in Tottenham, whose body was found in January after concerns for her wellbeing. Authorities believe she passed away before Christmas. A man has been charged with preventing her lawful burial. Detectives are particularly interested in tracing a taxi driver who took her home in August 2024 and may have captured footage of her struggling with building materials. The police request any witnesses or anyone with related footage to come forward to assist with their inquiries.
I am particularly keen to trace a taxi driver who drove Pepita to the address in Reynardson Road in August 2024 and witnessed Pepita struggling to lift plywood and other building supplies that she had bought.
We believe the driver was concerned about her welfare and may have recorded Pepita on their mobile phone.
Det Insp Barry Hart of the Metropolitan Police said he wanted to 'build a picture' of what happened.
He also asked anyone with mobile phone or dashcam footage, taken in Reynardson Road between 16 October and 31 January, to contact police.
